The rules correspond by and large to those of similar well known games.

In the following, some deviations are described.

The rules are flexible and can be adjusted according to taste.

Object

The object of the game is to gain as many belts as possible.

Currency and Exchange Rates

1 white-belt =    basic unit
1 orange-belt = 2 white-belts
1 green-belt = 2 orange-belts
1 purple-belt = 2 green-belts
1 brown-belt = 2 purple-belts

Preparation

Each player choses a token to represent them while travelling around the board. Each player is given 20 white-belts, 10 yellow-belts, 8 orange-belts, 5 green-belts, 3 purple-belts, and 2 brown-belts.

The Play

Place your token on the corner marked START, then throw the dice and move your token (clockwise) the number of spaces indicated by the dice.

Landing on a chance field "C", draw a card and carry out its described action.

START

Each time a player's token lands on or passes over START, he gets 10 white-belts.

Buying Clubs

Whenever you land on an unowned dojo (club) "D", you may buy it. You receive a training session card showing ownership, which is placed on the dojo field. A dojo costs 20 white-belts.

Buying Training Sessions

Whenever landing on a dojo (club) "D" owned by oneself, one may buy 1 additional training session. Any club may contain at most 5 training sessions. Each additional training session costs 10 white-belts.

Paying Tuition Fee

Landing on a dojo owned by somebody else, one has to pay four white-belts as tuition fee for each training session.

Selling Property

Dojos and training sessions can be sold to the bank at any time.

Corner Fields

When a player lands on the Sponsor field, he gets 1 green-belt from every other player.

When a player lands on the Grading-Spree field, all his belts (except the brown-belts) are promoted 1 rank, i.e., the player's belts are substituted by respective higher ones.

When a player lands on the Karate-Doctor field, all his belts (except the white-belts) are demoted 1 rank, i.e. the player's belts are substituted by respective lower ones.

Game Over

The game is over when a given time limit is exceeded or when some player is fed up with playing or when somebody invents a game where he can win more often.
