The Red List Where stands the Budoka ?     The Red List The red list is an index specifying the extinction risk of species by different categories.   The Categories   EXTINCT  Nope - there are still some around, but in certain areas it's really hard to find them.    EXTINCT IN WILD  Training students in remote high security dojos and then releasing them over a large area .... perhaps .... ?!   CRITICALLY ENDANGERED That quite hits the mark -  or are we already farther ??   ENDANGERED It might be a depressing statement, but this would actually be an improvement in many areas.   VULNERABLE   That was once upon a time - who imagined that things could decay that much.                                                                                                                                              © 2005 GNM
