Making Of

Graphics on the Karate-Doctor Website

More and more requests are piling up on how the sophisticated images of the Karate-Docor website are being rendered, for instance

and also the Karate-Doctor logos

A detailed analysis of the graphics generation is beyond the scope of this text, so only some essential steps are illustrated with the logos.

Both the rectangular and circular logos are manually created from templates. Their production is one of today's most challenging high-tech undertakings and can only be accomplished by close cooperation of different fields of expertise, such as materials science, aerospace engineering, fast food chains, and artistic design. In the course of development, a number of patents were granted, outclassing the insights from extra-terrestrial technology in area 51, for example smartphones with integrated fertilizer stick mode.

The final products are those forms with which the logos of the Karate-Doctor website are made.

The center of this template contains the Karate-Doctor crest. It goes back to the Middle Ages where the predecessor of the Karate-Doctor, the "Knight-Doctor", had been established as a union of several halberd protection organisations. Even back then it was about combatting charlatanry. At that time the knighthood got more and more endangered by so called "Horseshoe Henchmen". Local busybodies wanted to increase their status within the country and knighted anybody and everybody able to hold a hammer. This gave birth to the so called "Knave-Clique-Caste", which was despised by genuine knights.

Here is again a version with the Karate-Doctor crest.

All templates contain a titanium-briquette core, which is surrounded by several layers of thermite. The surface consists of an alloy on the basis of the secret cola ingredient. The colors are generated by inclusions of gold, silver, platinum, beetroot, and gemstones, such as opals, sugilites, pyrite, etarakals, and rotcodites. The last two gain their luminous power through five grams of antimatter each. They are mined on an ice planet north of Zubenelgenubi.

Ice Planet

The fabrication of the templates is done in zero gravity, where an exact distance between the mining planet, a supernova, and a black hole has to be maintained.

Spaceship

One of the most demanding steps is cooling down the accomplished forms in space. Below we see a Karate-Doctor logo coming too close to a black hole.

(Later on, an arbitrariness artist duct-taped this logo, daubed it with peanut butter, and tossed it against a wall. Together with a 1539 page interpretation, it is now regarded as the founding artefact of the so called "outsourced art term".)

Next time  on "Making Of ..." the realization of the

character is described. After an international casting, leading actors performed Shakespeare's Macbeth. They were scanned through "Motion Capture" so that a high-resolution photorealistic computer model could be derived. Its details were eliminated in post-processing to obtain an abstracted image. Finally the belt was inserted by means of the "Chartreuse Screen" procedure.
